By downloading or using LogBook ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
LogBook is a digital yacht logbook application that allows professional skippers, charter operators, and sailors to record voyage data, manage crew information, and generate PDF voyage reports.
You must create an account to use LogBook. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
You agree to use LogBook only for lawful purposes. You may not:
You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from crew members before entering their personal data (including passport numbers, date of birth, nationality, and medical notes) into the App. You agree to handle crew member data in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
LogBook is designed to assist with maritime record-keeping but does not guarantee compliance with any specific maritime authority's requirements. You are solely responsible for ensuring your logbook records meet the requirements of applicable maritime authorities. LogBook is not a substitute for professional maritime advice.
LogBook offers a free tier and a Pro subscription. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) according to their respective terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions in your device's account settings.
Free tier users store data locally on their device. Pro users receive cloud backup. We recommend regularly exporting your PDF voyage reports as an independent backup. We are not liable for data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, or account termination.
LogBook and all associated content, design, and technology are owned by Mathias Matejčík. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal or professional maritime logkeeping purposes.
LogBook is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use of LogBook for navigation or safety-critical decisions is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mathias Matejčík shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of LogBook, including but not limited to loss of data, vessel damage, or maritime incidents.
You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account). We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted from our servers within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes where possible.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovakia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Slovakia.
